LoungeWe would like to welcome you to Woodlands - our beautiful Victorian house, once the vicarage. We offer you personal service at all times and will do our best to ensure you are comfortable, relaxed, well fed and enjoy every moment of your stay.

We hope you will make yourselves at home at Woodlands. Our peaceful lounge is just the place to relax, unwind and read the newspapers - if you're not distracted by the wild birds in the garden.

At the end of the day meet up with fellow guests for a pre-dinner drink in our cosy bar and swap notes about what you've been doing. For those who require it, wireless Internet access is available in the bar.

The house is full of books - you are welcome to browse and borrow and, if you start a novel and haven't finished it, take it home with you - you can always return it next time you visit!

Wander in the grounds and watch the wild birds, enjoy the scent of the roses in summer or admire the snowdrops and daffodils in Spring. The sunset over the hills is breathtaking with mellow changes of colour and light to a background of bird song and the distant sounds of sheep and cows. Go out in the evening and look at the stars - there is minimal light pollution here so they are amazingly bright and clear. Listen to the owls and watch the bats and you may come across the odd hedgehog or fox going about their business

Those who discover Woodlands tend to return again and again.  We’ve made many new friends who are now starting to feel like old friends!
